I thought my waiting period ended with waiting for my NCLEX results, but boy was I wrong. I probably do not fit the typical nursing student mold as you see on social media sites because I did not apply to a nurse residency program. I wanted to, but it just did not work for my life. Nor do I have a job, even though I passed my NCLEX nearly a month ago.
I cannot deny that NCLEX is incredible difficult, but my whole experience was strangely peaceful. The only real time that I had anxiety was waiting for my results.
The reason I first began blogging was because I wanted to know what others experiences were like. For me, having some sort of insight into something before I go and do it calms my nerves. Sadly, I never really found that which is why I began writing.
I can now say that I am a registered nurse. It was a quite a journey achieving this, but I would not want to be anything else. A lot has happened in the last year.
